What To Do Right Now (Quick Triage)

• Severe toothache: Rinse with lukewarm water; take OTC pain relief as directed; do not place aspirin on the tooth.

• Knocked-out tooth: Hold by the crown only, gently rinse if dirty (no scrubbing), try to place back in the socket, or keep in milk/Saliva and call immediately.

• Broken/chipped tooth: Save any pieces, rinse, use a cold compress for swelling.

• Lost filling/crown: Keep the area clean; temporary dental cement can help—but avoid chewing on that side.

• Swelling/abscess: Do not attempt to drain it; call now.
